Both hardware and software failures and the necessary rebuilding of directories and restarting will continue for the next two days. The portal is being restarted 2-3 times per hour. If you cannot access the portal please wait 5-10 minutes and then try again. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working hard to get access back to normal.
During the DTE-planned emergency power outage starting at 8:00 Saturday morning, all electronic resources will be unavailable. The McNichols Campus Library anticipates opening at noon if power has been restored. If electrical service is restored after noon, the library will open and electronic resources will be available as soon as possible after the restoration.
Accessing some databases and journals through Blackboard many require an additional click to connect. Call a library reference desk (McNichols, 313 993-1071, Dentistry 313 494-6900) for additional assistance.
Although the UDM Libraries buildings will be closed December 21-January 1, all of the libraries’ electronic resources–journals and books– are available online 24/7. Have a great Christmas and New Years break–but if you want to review the Fall Term, or prepare for the Winter Term, http://research.udmercy.edu is the place to start. See you in January.
